About the role
Council is offering an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Undergraduate to join our team and make a real impact on the community.
Reporting to the Manager Procurement & Contracts, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in the procurement process by supporting contract management, supplier negotiations, and the development of procurement strategies
- Help prepare procurement documents, such as Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and Invitations to Tender (ITTs)
- Assist with supplier and vendor relationship management
- Conduct market research to identify the best suppliers and products for Council’s needs
- Collaborate with various teams across the organisation to ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures
Qualifications, skills & experience
- Currently enrolled in the penultimate or final year of an undergraduate Procurement degree or relevant discipline
- Current Class C Driver’s Licence
- Competent in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Teams)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* Salary for this position is as per the Local Government (State) Award 2023.
* Candidates must be enrolled in and studying the qualification for the duration of the employment term in order to be eligible
