With more than $5 billion in planned energy, mining, and infrastructure investments across the region, at least 17 major projects are proposed to affect our Shire directly. Three Springs is well-positioned to benefit from new economic opportunities, workforce demand, and regional partnerships. Projects such as renewable energy developments, workforce housing initiatives, and industrial land planning will boost local business and employment and cement our place as a strategic hub in Western Australia’s transition to clean energy and diversified industries.
The Council is seeking to appoint a successful and enthusiastic senior executive who has superior leadership capabilities, and demonstrates the ability to work with community and business groups, as well as with regional stakeholders to position the Shire in relation to future growth opportunities.
The new CEO will be a driven and outcomes focussed professional with a commitment to good governance and service delivery that meet the community expectation. The successful applicant would need to demonstrate engagement in innovative project management and oversee the successful delivery of community based projects and programs, with strong and decisive problem solving. In addition, an understanding of the political, economic and social challenges facing WA local government is essential.
The position is offered under a performance based contract up to five years. An attractive remuneration package is offered and is to be set in accordance with the Salaries and Allowances Tribunal Band 4, access to a Regional/Isolation Allowance is a discretionary allowance and will be negotiated with the preferred applicant. Salary and benefits are subject to negotiation and could include, but not limited to: base salary, superannuation, professional development and utilities. In addition, private use of a motor vehicle and housing in a Shire owned executive residence is available. Reasonable relocation expenses will be negotiated.
