About the Role
Provide comprehensive administrative and support services, including diary and records management, financial transactions, correspondence, and assistance with event coordination and delivery, to ensure the efficient operation of our Business Unit and promote a positive, collaborative work culture.
You can also expect to:
- Prepare documents, correspondence, and meeting materials
- Complete routine financial transactions and purchases
- Manage the Events email box and respond to emails and phone inquiries in a timely manner providing accurate information
- Work additional hours in a support role at council run events performing tasks such as assisting on the information stall or registration desk
- Maintain and update records and databases as well as coordinate and maintain council’s annual Event Calendar across all business units
- Assist the Events team with bookings such as entertainment, caterers
- Promote a positive and collaborative work culture
About You
We are looking for a someone with a keen interest in working in the event space who has:
- Minimum secondary school completion and/or relevant experience.
- Proven experience working in an administration/office support role.
- Is a self-motivated team player with exceptional organisation skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and communications skills
- Excellent time management, ability to multi-task and prioritise work
