Health Hub Customer Service Officer

Are you passionate about delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced, people-focused environment? As a Health Hub Customer Service Officer at Teachers Health, you’ll be the first point of contact for our members, providing exceptional support face-to-face, over the phone, and via SMS. You’ll help our members access health services, process payments, manage appointments, and ensure their experience with us is seamless and welcoming.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract (maternity leave cover)

Shifts vary between 7:30AM - 6:00PM

Who are we?

Teachers Health was created by teachers for teachers over 70 years ago and is the only health fund exclusively for the education community. As a not-for-profit health fund, we exist for our members covering the lives of over 400,000 teachers, education staff & their families.

What will you do? / How will you help?

In this role, you will:

Provide timely reception services, including face-to-face, phone, SMS, and online appointments
Process payments and issue invoices and receipts
Manage member/patient enquiries in plain language
Support members/patients with dental, allied, and optical health procedures, including emergency triage where required
Maintain accurate appointment books, medical records, and administrative data
Greet and check in clients on arrival, advising of any delays
Collaborate with internal teams, including the Contact Centre, Membership, Claims and Benefits, and Health Hub teams

What do you need? /What are we looking for?

To be successful in this role, you will need:

At least 3 years of customer service experience, ideally in a multiskilled team environment
Strong oral and written communication skills
Computer proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Ability to manage multiple roles and priorities in a client service environment
Understanding of medical, allied health, or dental practices is a plus
Experience using dental software is desirable
