This position is a temporary opportunity up to and including 28 April 2028 and will see the successful incumbent work within Council’s operational roster, including some weekends to support the operations of TOL+FOSO.
About the Opportunity
The role supports the Manager of LightState in developing, delivering, and overseeing the Trail of Lights and Fibre Optic Symphonic Orchestra (FOSO). Key duties include managing operations and guest experiences, coordinating marketing and entertainment programming, overseeing staff, and leading daily activities. The position also focuses on promoting events to boost tourism and the economy, and on forming partnerships to achieve positive community, economic, and environmental outcomes.
What you will bring
Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:
- Tertiary qualifications or extensive experience in a relevant discipline such as Events Management, Commerce, Business Management, Marketing, Economics or Project Management.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in events services provision, marketing and/or project management
- Experience in a leadership role and staffing processes including preparation of employee rosters, employee recruitment, induction, performance, development and training.
- Current and satisfactory Police Check and Working with Children Check or ability to obtain
- Current Drivers’ Licence.
Salary and conditions
The position is classified within
Band 6 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement ranging from $93,602 to $101,911 per annum plus statutory superannuation.
