An exciting NEW opportunity has arisen to join our Sport and Recreation branch. As one of the fastest growing Councils in Australia you'll lead the Community Facilities and Cemetery team to develop and embed a social infrastructure planning approach in relation to the planning and management of bookable community facilities and spaces as well as the Camden Cemetery.
Reporting to the Manager Sport and Recreation, your leadership will ensure exceptional service delivery aligns with Council's strategic objectives, community needs and relevant legislation.

Essential:
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Science, Community Services, Social Planning or aligned fields.
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision, manage tasks and consistently produce quality work to agreed deadlines, including the ability to effectively manage competing priorities and interests in a high-volume environment.
- Demonstrated competency and experience in social planning and operational management of bookable community facilities and spaces.
- Demonstrated experience in managing, developing, implementing and monitoring service specifications and contracts related to bookable community infrastructure such as community facilities.
- High level competencies in verbal and written communication skills with experience in analysing data and reports to draw out key findings, provide clear advice, present information effectively.
- High level of competency in negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build in establishing and maintaining positive and productive working relationships with service providers, community groups Council staff including senior staff
- Experience in managing teams that can drive change and maximise opportunities in alignment with Council's strategic direction.
Desirable:
- Understanding of contemporary issues affecting the social infrastructure planning sector.
- Experience in the planning and operational management of cemeteries.
- Experience in electronic booking systems.
- Demonstrated appreciation of the complexity of Local Government, specifically the social, political and legal framework within which it operates.
