The Quality and Compliance Officer's primary objective is to ensure that Council:

Operates the Support at Home program in accordance with relevant legislation, standards, and internal policies.
Supports continuous improvement, risk management, and quality assurance processes to ensure safe, effective, and person-centered care for older Australians living independently in the community.
Assists with maintaining compliance with the aged care quality and safety standards, legislation and accreditation under the Support at Home program.
Identifies, assesses and mitigates clinical risks, implementing best practice, and risk management strategies to enhance participant safety and high-quality service delivery.
Focuses on continuous improvement through data analysis, consumer feedback and incident monitoring.

Key responsibilities include:

Maintaining Council’s aged care services quality assurance framework and records.
Assisting the Coordinator and Manager in the development and review of policies and procedures.
Responding to emergencies that impact on Council’s aged and disability service.
Providing support and direction to internal staff, field staff (community care workers) and volunteers in the absence of the Coordinator.

About You:

To support your success in this role you will have:

Qualifications and/or extensive experience in Nursing or Allied Health or equivalent.
Extensive knowledge and experience with quality assurance, risk and compliance frameworks and continuous improvement.
Sound knowledge of the Support at Home Program
Detailed knowledge of the aged care quality standards.
Excellent time management skills and demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and competing priorities.
Well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
A Current Victorian drivers licence

Salary information: $86,793.20 to $93,614.04 per annum pro rata plus superannuation.
