ABOUT THE ROLE
This role leads cross-functional teams to develop and deliver Council’s Economic Development Strategy, associated action plans and major regional initiatives. The position oversees key economic programs, local events, tourism operations, and the Coo-ee Heritage Centre, while maintaining strong relationships with tourism, cultural and industry stakeholders and ensures accurate web and social media content related to economic development and regional promotion.
ABOUT YOU
Council is looking for someone who has the following qualities, experience and/or qualifications:
- Current drivers licence class C
- Minimum 4 years work related experience
- Relevant University Bachelor degree in Tourism, Marketing, Business or
equivalent, or extensive industry experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
- The ability to manage time and priorities to meet competing deadlines
- Demonstrated ability in making sound business decisions
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to WHS issues
