About the Opportunity
At PMHC every employee plays a part in ensuring we work together
to achieve positive outcomes for our Community. To help us achieve this we are
seeking a highly motivated and experienced Arborist /Tree Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible to undertake operational arboricultural activities across Councils' diverse public tree population and contributing to creating a liveable community.
To be considered for this role, you will need to have completed an AQF Level 3 (Certificate III) in either horticulture or arboriculture or have demonstrated significant recent industry experience, along with a current class MR Drivers Licence. We are looking for someone who has recent experience delivering
a variety of Arboriculture/Horticulture practices, including tree pruning and
removal techniques. You will display highly developed communication
skills and a proactive, positive and professional attitude. A working
knowledge of employee obligations under Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and
Safe Work NSW Code of Practice - Amenity Tree Industry Standards is also
essential.
A
current National Licence to Perform High Risk Work (WP + Boom type elevated
work platform) is desirable but not essential for this role.
On a
typical day this role will:
- Work with the Vegetation Operations team to
deliver tree services.
- Tree removals across the LGA.
- Ensure the planting schedule is delivered.
- Apply all the essential WHS to ensure safe working conditions.
Remuneration and Benefits
Employment Type: Full Time, 38 hours per week
Salary (exclusive of super): Starting salary of $66,577 per year with opportunity for competency-based progression + adverse working conditions allowance level 1
Superannuation: 12%
