We are currently seeking applications from candidates who are
interested in undertaking a Parks and Gardens apprenticeship with Hawkesbury
Council.
This is an exciting opportunity to kick
start a career in Local Government as an Apprentice – Parks and Gardens
employee.
Commencing 12th January 2026, this position is a 4-year
apprenticeship opportunity which is focused on learning about and undertaking maintenance
of Council’s City Open Spaces including parks, sportsgrounds, streetscapes,
recreation facilities and bushland.
About You
You will be eager to learn
and enthusiastic to commit to on-the-job and formal training components of an
apprenticeship. You will have strong communication skills, both written and
verbal and have basic computer skills with some knowledge of computer applications
like Microsoft Office being a plus. You will be able to demonstrate a basic
understanding of greenskeeping as well as Workplace Health and Safety.
You will be open and
responsive to feedback and be able to demonstrate your interest in supporting
Hawkesbury Council’s purpose ‘To build a Hawkesbury that is loved by its
people’.
