Bulky Waste Collection Operator
Maitland City Council has an exciting opportunity within our Bulky Waste Collection team for a skilled and reliable Bulky Collection operator, looking to expand their experience within waste collection services.
About the role:
In this role you will deliver bulky waste collection services across the Maitland LGA including operation of waste vehicles and other general labouring duties in a safe and efficient manner.
As the Bulky Waste Collection Operator, you will undertake general bulky waste collection duties including the operation of the rear-loading waste collection vehicles and the collection of bulky kerbside waste in a safe and efficient manner.
We are looking for an experienced operator who will provide exceptional customer service to our community and who will also demonstrate a strong focus on safety and an eagerness to work within a supportive and growing team.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Hold a current HR licence with demonstrated experience operating rear-loading waste and/ or recycling collection vehicles
- Be a productive and reliable team member, with a strong safety mindset, good interpersonal skills, and a commitment to delivering quality service to the community
- Be flexible and capable of supporting a variety of waste operations as needed.
Whilst not essential, the following will be highly regarded:
- Manual Handling / Hazardous Manual Tasks Training
- Front loader or forklift experience
- Skid Steer/ Bobcat experience
Benefits:
This is a full-time, permanent role working a 38-hour week, with a base salary range of $63,127 to $70,071 per year based on demonstrated competencies + allowances + 12% super, working 38 hours per week across a spread of hours between 4:45:am - 1:15pm.
