About the role
We are looking for someone who can develop
engaging and strategic campaigns which highlights the needs in our diverse
municipality and attracts government and stakeholder investment. In this
position you will coordinate the planning and implementation of campaigns for our
advocacy priorities, develop Council’s Advocacy Framework and build
organisational capability to deliver successful advocacy campaigns.
Skills and experience
- Tertiary
qualified in communications, public relations, journalism, law, politics or a
similar field or lesser formal qualifications with extensive experience.
- Ability
to oversee programs of work with exceptional project management skills and experience
working on complex communications projects.
- Experienced
in planning, development execution and evaluation of advocacy campaigns.
- Experienced
in large cross-organisational projects
- Skilled
in developing campaigns to raise community awareness or solicit action
- Ability
to develop a strategy or framework to drive an outcome
