About The Project
The Thornton Road Network project is a major project for Council, with new and upgraded traffic facilities including roads, bridges and intersections, all planned to reduce pressure and road capacity issues on existing local and state road networks.
About the Opportunity
As the Senior Project Manager - Major Projects you will lead the successful design development of the Thornton Road Project.
In this role you will undertake the project management, procurement, and approval processes to ensure the Thornton Road Project is construction ready.
A key requirement of your role will include managing contracts, preparing and coordinating land acquisitions and re-zonings, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and specifications and managing environmental approvals. You will lead the design constructability and coordination and oversee budgets and financial reporting for the design phase of the project.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have degree qualifications in Civil Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
Extensive experience in project management of the design of roads, intersections, drainage systems, traffic facilities and civil infrastructure will be critical to success in this role. As is the below experience:
- Experience working with Transport for NSW
- Ability to lead and mentor design teams
- Ability to manage external road design consultants, including procurement and contract management.
- Strong knowledge of Austroads geometric design, pavement design and stormwater design.
