This is a
unique opportunity to join a dynamic, passionate, and progressive Arboriculture
team in local government. In this role you will undertake various Tree related
maintenance activities throughout the municipalities open space areas and

About the role
In this role
you will work out and about in the field for the Arboriculture team. You will
undertake a variety of ground-based tree maintenance activities ranging from
the removal of trees to undertaking tree inspections using field-based GIS tree
inspection software. On a day-to-day basis you will work in a team of two
running a truck and chipper and respond to customer requests and other tree
related maintenance activities in response to the ongoing tree inspection
program.
Skills and experience
- You
are highly experienced in the maintenance and removal of trees and have
the ability to utilise those skills in the field to complete complex tree
related works.
- You
have the ability to lead others and provide on the job training in the
field to apprentices and non-qualified tree maintenance staff.
- You
are experienced in the operation of plant and equipment required to
complete tree related works including, woodchippers, chainsaws and pole
saws.
- You
have a proven history in the inspection of trees and provide detailed tree
reports.
- You
have a sound knowledge of arboriculture and tree management procedures and
the relevant legislation, standards and guidelines.
