The City Life directorate delivers high quality community services to enhance community wellbeing, including family, aged, leisure and cultural services.
About the role
This exciting new position will have a pivotal role providing project administrative duties to support Council’s Grants and Donations program. Through this program Council partners with community groups and organisations to deliver initiatives and projects that build the social, cultural and environmental life of our city.
Reporting to the Coordinator Community Support and Programs, you will oversee key projects in the Community Life Business Unit, including developing and implementing an annual allocations procedure for use of Council’s community venues and halls, administering Community Grants and Bayside ClubGRANTS rounds, liaising with grants and donations applicants, and maintaining accurate record keeping. The role is also responsible for providing a range of administrative and support services, including records management, financial records, routine correspondence, grant agreements and acquittals, and meeting and event coordination to support the effective operation of the Business Unit.

- Ability to coordinate and implement grant funding processes from application to final acquittal.
- High level customer service skills
- Attention to detail.
- Experience working collaboratively with external and internal stakeholders.
- Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of the SmartyGrants grant management system would be desirable, but training is provided to applicants without this experience.

Salary: From $84,397.19 - $94,524.77 pa + 12% superannuation
