The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for a committed and practical individual to join our team and operate, maintain and construct water and sewerage infrastructure to recognised health, environmental and BVSC standards.
As a Water & Sewer Team Member, you will operate, monitor and maintain Council’s water supply and sewerage systems, including scheduled and reactive maintenance, emergency response activities, and repairs to water and sewer mains. You will also participate in the construction of new water and sewer infrastructure, including the installation of new connections in accordance with approved plans and required standards.

About You
We are seeking an individual who holds aCertificate III in Water Industry Operations (NWP30215) or equivalent trade-based qualification and has demonstrated experience working within water supply and sewerage operations, maintenance and construction environments.
You will have the following skills and experience;
Demonstrated understanding of water supply and sewerage system operation, maintenance and construction practices, including fault-finding and emergency response.
Developed skills in the laying of water and sewer mains and associated construction activities.
Well-developed oral and written communication skills, with the ability to complete workplace documentation and respond to customer enquiries.
Demonstrated ability to use computer-based systems and software, including Microsoft Office, CMMS, telemetry, SCADA and GIS/mapping systems.

This is a permanent, full time position working 38 hours per week.
The total remuneration package for this position commences at $77,319.42 gross per annum, comprising of:
- $1,327.60 per week base salary
- $159.31 per week superannuation (calculated at 12%)
