About the Role:
Are you ready to kick-start your career and make a positive impact in your community? Bayside Council is offering a variety of exciting opportunities for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team in various apprentice, trainee, and cadet positions.
Build the practical skills you need to get your start in the dynamic civil construction industry. Get an all-rounder’s introduction, become a qualified civil construction worker and help to shape the future of Australia’s infrastructure. This is a full-time, max term position that combines practical, on-the-job learning with formal training, leading to a qualification in Civil Construction.
Whilst the role will be based at our Botany Depot, there maybe requirements to attend induction and training sessions at our Bexley Depot.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with civil construction and maintenance tasks under supervision
- Learn to operate tools and small plant equipment safely
- Work outdoors as part of a supportive team
- Gain a nationally recognised Certificate III in Civil Construction
- Following safe working practices
We’re looking for someone with:
- An interest in mechanics
- Maths and English skills at a year 10 level
- Willingness to enrol in and complete a Certificate III in Civil Construction
- Passion for working outdoors and an interest in learning civil construction
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm to learn, and a commitment to teamwork
- A NSW White Card (or willingness to obtain one)

Salary Range: From $707.07 - $1230,40 pw dependant on age of applicant.
