The Western Council Water Alliance (WCWA) is made up of 13
member councils from Central West and Western New South Wales. The WCWA is
based on unified approach to supporting the sustainable delivery of water
supply and sewerage services for the communities it serves. The collaborative
arrangement allows member councils to pool resources, reduce duplication and
form a common platform to develop initiates. The WCWA advocates to stakeholders on behalf of its member councils.

Coordination and delivery of the regional
operational water loss management support program using the CNSWJO Regional
Water Loss Management (WLM) Hub methodology
Set up/leverage existing governance arrangements
for accountability in WLM improvement
Develop a project plan (Plan on a Page
Audits using the Qualitative WLM Maturity Model
Ground truthing with support from an external
subject matter resource
Training, mentoring and capacity building using
the WLM Knowledge Hub on-line training tool and opportunities provided by
DCCEEW
Aggregated procurement and shared services lead
by the CNSWJO
Regional reporting tool and data management
Seeking assistance and collaborating with the
CNSWJO Project Officer - Water and other regional JO staff and DCCEEW as needed
to assure the delivery of the Regional WLM program
Support member councils to take the local steps
to reduce water loss supported by the regional program as described in the
CNSWJO Regional Water Loss Management Hub methodology
In collaboration with the CNSWJO and DCCEEW
coordinate, and support delivery of associated local government water
efficiency programming led by DCCEEW across participating LWUs
Attend monthly Regional Steering Committee
between the CNSWJO, DCCEEW, NSW Water Directorate and other JOs/Water Alliances
Co-ordinate and facilitate WLM Project Technical
Committee (champions) meetings with participating LWUs
Administration of relevant contracts as required
Assistance in the formulation of the ongoing
regional strategy for WLM and water efficiency
Preparation and writing of reports to the WCWA,
the General Managers Advisory Committee (GMAC) and the CNSWJO Board
Coordination of and supporting good governance
and decision making for regional WUA meetings
Coordination of events as required
Basic accounting processes for the development
of invoices
Project management from scoping through to
acquittal including risk, quality, and governance arrangements
Managing risks and delays as required
Preparation and monitoring of budgets
Supporting other regional programs, grants and
activities when required
Writing media releases
Writing grant applications
Updating policies and other documentation as
required
Ensuring the administrative functions are
completed in a timely and accurate manner
Enhancing on going relationships with key
stakeholders
Ensuring appropriate and thorough record keeping
ensuring compliance and accessibility of documentation for stakeholders
Constructively contributing to the culture and
ongoing development of the organisation and team
This role requires a satisfactory Police History Criminal Check prior to commencing.

The salary being offered for this part-time position is $2,157.40 gross (pro-rata) per fortnight plus superannuation which equates to an annual salary of $56,092.40 gross (pro-rata) plus superannuation (dependent on skills, qualifications and experience).
Working 35 hours per fortnight, with days and hours to be confirmed.
