About the position:
The City has an exciting opportunity for a process driven individual to join our dynamic Treasury & Finance Team.
As a Casual Finance Officer, you will play a crucial role in providing efficient and effective support to the Treasury and Finance Team. You will provide cover for a variety of Finance Officer roles to meet ongoing operational demands.
Key accountabilities:
- End-to-end accounts payable processing for the City, ensuring all payments are made in a timely manner and in accordance with the Local Government Act 1995, associated Regulations and Council Policies
- End-to-end accounts receivable processing for the City including processing of invoices and statements, manage payment arrangements and follow up of overdue debtors
- Process Trust transactions including Building Construction Training Levy (BCITF) and Building Services Levy (BSL) returns

Position requirements:
Candidates should have a Certificate IV in Financial Services and/or industry qualification in Finance with appropriate on the job training and relevant experience/or lesser qualification with significant experience in a finance environment.
A national police clearance is required for this position.
Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.
Remuneration and benefits:
The Casual Finance Officer position has a salary starting from $38.4981 per hour, plus 25% loading, offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
