About the role:
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Asset Performance Engineer. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for asset condition assessments, asset capitalisation and providing technical expertise in developing works programs for Council's infrastructure and public spaces assets; ensuring positive community outcomes are achieved efficiently and effectively.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:
- Tertiary qualifications in Assets Engineering/Asset Management/Facility Management with relevant job related experience.
- Strong ability or experience to apply asset management principles and practices including undertaking asset condition assessment and capitalisation.
- Demonstrated experience in the development and maintenance of Asset Management Plans
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, Australian Standards, IPWEA practice notes and Building codes in relation to asset inspection and investigation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet strict deadlines and deliver outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience using information systems such as databases, spreadsheets and Microsoft Office suite of products including an Asset Management System.
- Highly developed interpersonal and negotiating skills with ability to communicate and work collaboratively with stakeholders including professionals, industry, community, agencies and government groups.
- Previous experience in asset inspection and investigations.
- Current Class C drivers licence.
