As our Instructional Designer, you will lead the design, development and delivery of high-quality blended learning solutions for Council's leadership development program. This is an exciting opportunity to shape leadership capability across a rapidly growing Council by translating leadership frameworks and organisational priorities into practical, engaging and applied learning experiences that drive real behaviour change on the job.
Working closely with the People, Learning & Culture team, subject matter experts and senior leaders, you will create long-term, learner-centred leadership programs across face-to-face, virtual and self-directed formats. You will also build internal facilitation capability through train-the-trainer initiatives, ensuring quality, consistency and sustainability in program delivery.
This role is ideal for a strategic and hands-on learning professional who thrives on turning theory into practice, enjoys partnering with leaders, and is passionate about building capability that makes a measurable difference.

Essential:
- Tertiary qualifications in Instructional Design, adult learning or related field and or relevant Industry experience
- Demonstrated experience designing blended leadership development programs
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing digital or eLearning content using contemporary learning tools or platforms
- Proven experience facilitating leadership programs for people leaders at various levels
- Strong ability to translate leadership frameworks and theory into practical, applied learning
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes within tight timeframes
Desirable:
- Demonstrated experience developing train the trainer materials and upskilling internal facilitators
- Experience in Local Government
