About the role
We are looking for a friendly and motivated Customer Experience Officer to join our growing team in our Rhodes Recreation Centre.
You’ll be the welcoming face of our centres, helping patrons feel informed, supported, and excited to return.
In this role, you will:
- Welcome all visitors, respond to enquiries, and manage phone and email communications
- Assist with health club memberships, gymnastics enrolments, and stadium bookings
- Conduct tours and promote centre programs and services
- Set up and maintain stadium equipment and keep all front desk and shared areas clean and presentable
- Provide concierge-style service at Rhodes Recreation Centre and support community room operations
- Assist with administrative and cash handling duties in line with Council policies
- Work collaboratively with team members to deliver a seamless and customer-focused experience
About you
You’re someone who enjoys helping others, has strong communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced team environment. Whether you’ve worked in a leisure centre, retail, hospitality, or customer service before — your positive attitude and dedication to service is what matters most.
You will ideally bring:
- Previous customer service or front desk experience (e.g. in a leisure, call centre, or hospitality setting)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving abilities and a strong team mindset
- Familiarity with CRM systems and confidence using technology
- A current Class C driver’s licence
- A Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
- First Aid/CPR Training as an essential requirement prior to starting

We are offering a total remuneration from $56,618 to $65,092 (pro rata) annual salary plus super plus weekend penalties.
