What You’ll Do
As Pound Supervisor, you’ll be the driving force behind the daily operations of the Orange City Council Pound, overseeing the smooth, safe and efficient running of the facility, including:
- Leading a committed team, driving daily operations, staff coordination and maintaining a safe, well‑run facility.
- Overseeing exceptional animal care — from welfare and behaviour assessments to rehoming, microchipping and vet coordination.
- Delivering compassionate, high‑quality customer service, supporting the community through often sensitive situations.
- Managing facility standards, including cleaning, compliance, risk management, data accuracy and reporting.
- Keeping operations running smoothly behind the scenes, including rosters, purchasing, budgeting support, record‑keeping and social media platform updates.

Skills/Experience
To be successful in this position you will need:
- Class C Drivers Licence
- Certificate IV in Animal Control and Regulation
- Certificate IV in Leadership and Management
- Desirable: Certificate IV Companion Animal Services, Accredited Authorised Identifier and Euthanasia qualification
