Biosecurity Officer (Weeds)
Gwydir Shire Council is inviting interest from individuals who
would like to train and qualify to undertake the role of Biosecurity Officer
(Weeds).
The successful candidate will be required to inspect and control
priority weeds throughout the Shire area, including private land and Council
controlled areas, assist in the eradication of priority weeds within the Shire
area and provide information and education about priority weeds to the public
and other stakeholders.
The Biosecurity Officer (Weeds) position is classified as Band 2
level 2, Grade 6 in Council’s competency-based salary system and the successful
candidate will be paid in accordance with this classification whilst
undertaking the training and performing the duties of the role. This position will be required to work across the Shire area.
