You'll join a supportive, collaborative Information Management team where your ideas are genuinely valued. You'll work closely with stakeholders from across the organisation from technical teams to senior leaders, helping them understand, use, and protect our information assets in smarter and more strategic ways.
If you enjoy autonomy, influencing outcomes, and building organisation‑wide alignment around information practices, this opportunity allows you to have a real impact.
This is a Permanent Full-Time position. Salary from $114,532 up to $136,938 per annum, plus superannuation. (Salary package will be assessed based on skills, experience and qualifications)
What you will be doing
In this role, you will:
- Lead the development, implementation, and continual improvement of Council's information architecture and data governance practices.
- Develop enterprise data models, metadata standards, classification structures, and information management policies.
- Provide guidance across the organisation on data quality, accessibility, security, and lifecycle management.
- Analyse current and future information requirements to support system design and decision‑making.
- Partner with stakeholders to drive adoption of consistent information standards and lead consultative processes that support organisational outcomes.
- Contribute to and influence strategic information initiatives, including major digital transformation and data‑related projects.
About you
As an Information Architect with an Advanced Diploma or higher in Information Management or similar, and experience working across enterprise‑level information management environments, you bring:
- Demonstrated experience with data governance, information architecture, and stakeholder engagement.
- A proven ability to work independently and lead organisational alignment on data and information standards to shape Council‑wide information practices, and lead governance‑focused outcomes.
- A track record in architecting and implementing enterprise‑level data warehouses, master data management systems, data integration solutions, BI/analytics platforms, content management systems, and broader enterprise data management frameworks.
You are someone who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, translating complex information concepts into practical outcomes, and lifting organisational capability through influence rather than technical enforcement.
