Gilgandra Shire Council is seeking a IT Officer to join the Organisational Performance team!
- Full-time 35 hours per week
- Rostered day off every fortnight - an extra 22 days off a year!
- Weekly pay cycle
- Salary range $1615.10 - $1938.23 per week
ABOUT THE ROLE
To deliver effective day-to-day ICT services
across Council, ensuring secure, reliable and fit-for-purpose technology
systems that support Council operations, service delivery and the community.
The role provides frontline ICT support and
maintains core ICT operational environments, including networks, telephony,
CCTV and end-user devices. It supports cyber security and ICT governance
practices and contributes to enterprise initiatives under Council’s ICT Roadmap
by enabling operational readiness, transition and business-as-usual continuity
during periods of change, including ERP implementation, digital transformation
and system modernisation.
ABOUT YOU
Council is looking for someone who has the following qualities, experience and/or qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science or a
related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience supporting
enterprise ICT environments.
- Demonstrated experience providing frontline ICT support within a complex
organisational environment, including incident management, service requests and
operational troubleshooting.
- Sound knowledge of ICT infrastructure and operational environments,
including end-user devices, networks, telephony, Microsoft 365 and common
business systems.
- Demonstrated understanding of cyber security principles, ICT risk
management and secure handling of information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to
communicate clearly with staff at all levels of the organisation.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and support multiple
activities concurrently in a service delivery environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to high-quality customer service across multiple
channels (e.g. phone, face-to-face and email).
- Current NSW Driver License.
