The role
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic leader to manage one of our Children’s Centre (Long Day Care) as the Centre Director and Nominated Supervisor. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a thriving learning community, where children, families, and educators feel supported, inspired, and empowered.
In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee the daily operations of the centre, ensuring a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where children can flourish. You will guide and mentor a team of dedicated educators, champion best practice in early learning, and drive a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
As the Centre’s leader, you will provide both strategic and operational direction, ensuring the service meets and exceeds all regulatory requirements while delivering outstanding early childhood education and care aligned with the National Quality Framework.

Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Champion excellence and compliance by ensuring the centre consistently meets the requirements of the National Law, Regulations, and National Quality Standards.
- Drive inspiring learning experiences by leading the delivery of innovative, engaging programs aligned with the National Early Years Learning Framework.
- Lead, inspire and mentor a collaborative, strengths-based team of educators to achieve their best and grow professionally.
- Build strong, respectful partnerships with children, families and educators to support meaningful, child-centred learning and planning.
- Oversee the smooth operation of the centre, including documentation, budgets, maintenance, and staffing to ensure a high-quality service environment.

You will have
- Degree in Early Childhood Education
- Working with Children Check
- Identify and Respond to Children and Young People at Risk of Significant Harm
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate including Asthma and Anaphylaxis
- Previous experience in leading and managing a team
- Experience in providing quality learning experiences and environments for young children.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of theories of child development and learning.
- Demonstrated ability to establish, foster and nuture collaborative partnerships and build trusting relationships with children, families and colleagues.
- Experience in delivering inclusive early childhood programs and working with children and families with additional needs including vulnerable situations and culturally diverse backgrounds
- Experience with the quality assessment process by the NSW Department of Education
- Proven quality leadership, mentoring and communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to professional learning and development.
The salary range for this opportunity starts at $115,347 (Grade I, Step 1) + 12% super. Salary may be negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
