About the role
The Stores Coordinator is responsible for the efficient and effective management of Council’s stores operations, including procurement, inventory control, storage, security and distribution of goods. The role provides leadership and operational oversight to ensure stores services support Council’s operational needs, comply with legislative and policy requirements, and deliver high‑quality customer service outcomes.
Reporting to the Procurement and Contracts Manager, the position works collaboratively across Council to support procurement governance, financial management, sustainability initiatives, and continuous improvement. The role also involves supervising staff, delivering training, preparing operational reporting, and representing the Stores function on internal and external working groups.

Remuneration
110,998.16 - 120,890.12 + 12% Superannuation
Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications
The successful applicant will demonstrate the following:
- Interpersonal communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and lead staff to achieve operational outcomes
- Strong awareness of workplace health and safety practices and legislative compliance
- Proven experience in stores operations, inventory control, and procurement processes
- Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Local Government
