We are seeking an experienced leader to manage 3 teams (approx. 15 staff) within the Child Welfare Unit. The successful candidate will lead their teams to deliver on their existing work plans and work closely with government and First Nations stakeholders on developing community led data collections and new measurement approaches to meet demands of emerging priorities.
As the Child Welfare Unit Head, you will:
- engage across government and First Nations organisations to negotiate future work plans
- work directly with First Nations communities on community led data initiatives
- chair the Children and Families Technical Advisory Group
- be an active member of Child Safety related committees
- be National Data Custodian of Child Protection National Minimum Data Set
- oversee a comprehensive and varied work program of 3 teams (General reporting, First Nations reporting and Integration)
- progress complex data sharing agreements to share child protection data with commonwealth data linkage systems
- effectively manage a unit of approx. 15 staff (currently 3 direct reports).
