Rural Roads Inspector

Location: Braidwood
The Package: $74,102.60 to $81,884.92 gross per week + 12% super + 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance (Evaluated as Grade 9 of the QPRC Salary System 2025).
Fulltime - 38 hours per week. 9-day fortnight conditions may apply.
This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your skills on the frontline of road inspection and maintenance! Join Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council's Transport Maintenance team and play a key role in ensuring the safety and quality of our rural roads and infrastructure.
In this role you will:
- Conduct regular inspections of unsealed roads, bridges, and drainage systems.
- Prepare detailed reports with condition assessments and photographic evidence.
- Respond to Customer Action Requests and unplanned/reactive inspection needs.
- Assist in scheduling planned works by providing accurate condition-based input.
- Maintain compliance with workplace HSEQ standards
We are looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience inspecting roads, bridges, and transport infrastructure, with the ability to prepare comprehensive and accurate condition reports.
- Possesses a sound understanding of WHS, including risk assessments.
- Is proficient in using electronic document management systems, corporate databases, mobile devices, and relevant software for data entry and reporting.
- Communicates clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
