The Opportunity
Bland Shire Council are currently seeking a Support Assistant to assist clients in maintaining their independence while living in their homes for as long as possible. This is a permanent part time position with a minimum of 10 hours per week, with potential for more hours depending on client's needs and your availability.
As a Support Assistant you will assist our clients by helping them with everyday activities such as (but not limited to):
• Support and assistance with personal care
• Household cleaning and laundry
• Assistance with shopping and Welfare checks
• Social Support Group
What we are looking for in you:
• Certificate III in Individual Support or qualifications and experience in a similar role
• Current Class ‘C’ drivers licence
• Current National Police check
• Current Provide First Aid and CPR Certificates
• A caring and empathetic nature
• You want to make a difference in your community
The following criteria would be highly desirable:
• Basic Administration Skills
• NDIS Worker Screening
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• Current comprehensive car insurance
• Own roadworthy, well maintained and tidy vehicle, available for use in day to day duties if a Bland Community Care Service vehicle in unavailable
