The role
The Blakc Venue Assistant is responsible for assisting the Food and Beverage Supervisor in daily management and operation of the cafe and delvery of its functions. This includes ensuring the menu
items are executed to a high and consistant level in a clean and hygienic environment. Also to work in with The Events and Catering Supervisor in looking after patrons and clients who attend The Bryan Brown Theatre and function rooms and make their visit a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Effectively deal with an extensive range of enquiries in an environment that can be fast-paced and challenging
- Ensure a positive customer experience through a high level of public relations and customer service to all users, including handling customer complaints and feedback.
- Act as the initial contact for customer inquiries and requests, ensuring high service standards and performance goals are met. Escalate issues or requests to relevant departments when necessary for resolution.
- Help promote and foster a strong sense of commitment to customer satisfaction throughout Council’s operations.
- Perform cashiering duties including the use of the POS system, reporting and balancing.
- Day to day general cleaning requirements of the Centre, including common areas, amenities and the kiosk.

You will have
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Working with Children’s Check
- Experience in customer service environment and excellent customer service skills
- Experience working in a indoor recreational facility or similar environment.
- Experience using a Point Of Sale system, reporting and balancing
- Experience in managing customer relationships
- Computer literacy skills.
The salary range for this opportunity starts at $31.3896 per hour plus 25% loading (Grade B, Step 1) + 12% super. Salary may be negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
