Teachers Health is seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance Manager to lead the ongoing development and maintenance of our compliance framework while supporting and enabling Line 1 business units in all areas of risk management.
This is a senior advisory and framework leadership role focused on business partnership, strong governance and continuous improvement. You will provide informed challenge and pragmatic guidance, while ensuring the compliance framework is embedded consistently and supported by fit‑for‑purpose systems, data and reporting.

What You’ll Do
- Act as a trusted risk and compliance adviser to Line 1 business units, providing informed challenge and practical guidance on key initiatives, change activities and operational decisions
- Lead the design, maintenance and continuous uplift of the enterprise compliance framework, aligned with regulatory and industry expectations
- Oversee the quality, consistency and currency of risk, compliance and resilience registers and artefacts
- Support effective design and ongoing operation of controls, monitoring and issue management processes
- Use enterprise risk systems and reporting to support insights and decision‑making
- Contribute to management and Committee reporting, emerging risk analysis and thematic insights
- Lead and develop a Risk & Compliance Adviser and support capability uplift of a risk culture across the organisation through engagement, training and coaching
What we’re looking for
- Minimum 5 years' experience in risk, compliance, assurance or a closely related discipline in regulated environments
- Demonstrated capability using risk and compliance systems, registers and reporting tools
- Minimum 3 years demonstrated people leadership experience, with a focus on coaching, capability uplift and developing high‑performing teams
- Ability to interpret data and information to provide clear, business‑relevant insights
- Confidence engaging senior stakeholders providing credible constructive challenge
- Experience leading frameworks, initiatives or workstreams end‑to‑end
- Experience working in Private Health Insurance is highly regarded, but not essential
