ABOUT THE ROLE
As a labourer your duties will include the installing, maintaining and repairing assets to ensure their availability for operational and community usage, which requires employees to participate in an on-call and call-out roster to respond to emergency works after hours. This role could also include assisting with the replacement of roadside signs .
This full time position is classified at Band 1, Level 2 ($27.79/hr - $32.17/hr) plus applicable allowances under council's salary system in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award, working a nine-day fortnight, 38 hours per week.
Candidates must be available to work overtime and extended hours in accordance with the works program, including the occasional weekends and call outs for emergency response and be available to camp on construction and maintenance work sites during the week and willing to work overtime and extended hours, including weekends, when required in accordance with the works program.
