We are on the lookout for energetic and motivated Fitness Instructors to join our team on a casual basis, delivering safe, engaging, and enjoyable group exercise experiences across our Wollongong and Dapto facilities. Join a vibrant, health-focused team that helps people of all ages and abilities achieve their wellbeing goals.
Our diverse group fitness timetable includes:
- Les Mills programs
- Freestyle and Interval Training classes
- Aqua Aerobics
- Senior Fitness and Gentle Exercise programs
- And a range of other community-focused fitness offerings
We're currently looking for qualified instructors with experience and certifications in:
- Aqua Aerobics
- Les Mills programs (Body Step, Body Combat, Body Pump and RPM)
- Cardio Boxing
- Older Adults Fitness
- Freestyle Group Fitness

Applicants who have completed the required qualification are encouraged to apply, including Active fitness registration + Accreditation with Aus Active or Aus Swim.
Applicants without the required fitness qualification will not be considered.
Under Part 2, Section 6 of the Child Protection (Working With Children) Act 2012, this position has been designated as requiring a paid Working With Children Check.
Salary:
This is a casual position, and staff may be called upon at short notice to help cover staff leave and unexpected absences. The role offers a competitive hourly rate starting from $52.37 per hour (inclusive of 25% casual loading) plus superannuation.
How you'll make a difference:
As a Group Exercise Instructor, you will be a key player in keeping our classes safe and welcoming. Your role will include:
Friendly, community-focused service - your positive attitude and communication skills will help create a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Physical readiness - Applicants must possess a level of physical fitness that enables them to effectively perform the responsibilities outlined in the job description.
Team spirit and adaptability - you'll take direction well, stay flexible, and bring a can-do attitude to every session.
Being flexible and available to work across multiple locations, including weekends and evenings, with shifts between 6:00 am and 8:00pm, Monday to Sunday.
Do you meet the essentials?
To be considered for this role, you must hold:
- A Certificate III in Fitness (Group Exercise Instruction) or A GEL (Group Exercise Leader) qualification by Les Mills or Recognized Aqua Exercise Certificate.
- Personal Trainers applying must hold Certificate IV in Fitness.
- Active fitness registration + Accreditation with Aus Active or Aus Swim
- Do you hold a current First Aid Statement of Attainment HLTAID0011 or equivalent?
- Do you hold a current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Statement of Attainment HLTAID009 or equivalent?
- Paid NSW Working With Children Check Clearance Number

Interviews are anticipated to be held on Monday, 28 September 2026 at Beaton Park and will involve an audition-style group assessment. Multiple small group sessions will be scheduled throughout the day.
