Your new company
Our state government client, based in Perth CBD, is seeking a driven Accounts Payable Officer to join their busy team. Our client is seeking someone to commence as soon as possible. This will be a temporary contract arrangement with the expectation of working a full-time government working week of 37.5 hours.
Your new role
As an Accounts Payable Officer, your responsibilities will include:
Reviewing, verifying, and entering invoices into the accounts payable system.
Ensuring timely payments to suppliers and vendors, including GST compliance.
Balancing payable reports and supplier statements to maintain accurate financial records.
Monitoring company expenditures, including payroll and petty cash accounts.
Responding to queries from suppliers, customers, and internal staff regarding payments and expenses.
Preparing monthly expense statements and financial reports.
What you'll need to succeed
Clear and professional interaction with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams.
Experience in Accounting or a similar role
Prioritising tasks to meet payment deadlines and manage workload effectively.
Working seamlessly with other departments, like purchasing and finance.
Willingness to undergo an international police check (if not an Australian Citizen)
