Your new role
The Facilities and Land Maintenance Lead is responsible for the daily upkeep of facilities and land listed in the property register. This role involves managing maintenance tasks, implementing change requests, overseeing operations, and planning for assigned assets. The Lead ensures compliance with relevant regulations and safety guidelines, working closely with various departments to support organisational goals and improve the overall functionality of the facilities and land.
- Oversee daily operations of facilities and land, ensuring safety, functionality, and maintenance.
- Develop and implement maintenance processes and schedules.
- Coordinate with vendors for repairs and services.
- Manage budgets for cost-effective operations.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
- Conduct assessments to identify improvement areas.
- Prepare reports on management activities.
- Support strategic KPIs like environmental waste reduction and procurement.
- Recommend efficiencies to reduce costs and risks.
- Empower teams to perform and grow.
- Deliver value through discipline, innovation, and accountability.
- Engage positively with stakeholders.
- Prioritise, delegate, and communicate effectively.
What you'll need to succeed - 5+ years’ experience in facilities and land management.
- Tertiary qualifications in Facilities Management or related field.
- Knowledge of relevant State and Federal regulations.
- Expertise in technical/engineering operations and best practices.
- Understanding of building practices from a business support perspective.
- Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
- Proven ability to prioritise and coordinate tasks.
- Experience managing operational service delivery teams.
