ABOUT THE ROLE
As Project Engineer, you’ll help drive the safe, efficient delivery of critical capital works project that is more than a job – it’s your chance to innovate and leave your mark on a nationally significant project.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver capital works projects safely and on time
- Collaborate with O&M and Capital Works teams
- Prepare work packs, manage subcontractors, and lead pre-starts
- Conduct site audits, traffic management planning, and quality checks
- Participate in an on-call duty roster
- Support continuous improvement and client reporting
- Uphold SHEQ standards and promote a safety-first culture
ABOUT YOU
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring solid, hands-on experience in pavement maintenance and construction, with a strong background in surfacing and asphalt.
You will hold a tertiary engineering qualification in either BE, NZCE, or similar, and you’re confident using MS office to support your project work.
You’re a strong communicator – both written and verbal, with a clear focus on safety and quality. A current Class 1 driver’s licence is essential and an STMS inspector certificate is an advantage.
