Your role will involve:
As SCADA Configuration and Test Engineer you will play a crucial role in the design, development, maintenance, and refinement of software and configuration for the SCADA System, ensuring effective monitoring and control of water and wastewater assets. You'll assist in developing and testing RTU/PLC software, creating comprehensive documentation and specifications for SCADA projects, and investigating technical issues to provide expert advice on SCADA software and devices. Be part of a team that values innovation and technical excellence in managing vital water and wastewater systems.
What will you be doing?
Design Specifications: Participate in developing Functional Design Specifications for water and wastewater assets.
SCADA Configuration: Assist in designing, developing, and reviewing SCADA configuration and RTU/PLC software.
Control Systems: Develop and test PLC programs for various control systems, including delivery valve control and wastewater pumping stations.
Remote Commissioning: Support Field Commissioning Engineers remotely and review SOC alarms.
Software Support: Maintain and enhance existing software applications and libraries for RTU/PLC installations.
Change Management: Utilize integrated change management systems and software control systems.
Procedure Development: Prepare procedures for software, configuration, integration testing, and commissioning of assets.
Technical Support: Respond to technical inquiries and provide system fault diagnosis and rectification.
Qualification and Experience:
Essential Skills:
Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
Experience in design, operation, and maintenance of process control, SCADA, and telemetry systems.
Knowledge of telemetry communication networks (LAN and WAN) and protocols like Modbus and DNP3.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Desired Skills:
Experience in developing SCADA systems for water and wastewater systems.
Experience in implementing new technology to improve water and wastewater performance.
Proven success in teamwork to achieve business outcomes.
