About the role
The Digital Asset Lifecycle Specialist role will develop and implement plans to securely operate, monitor, manage and maintain digital assets for Sydney Water ensuring asset management lifecycle, and effective and efficient delivery of services. Manage the digital asset end to end processes to ensure optimal usage of licenses and compliance with contracts.

Optimize Costs: Implement strategies to reduce software and support costs by identifying and reallocating underutilized licenses.
Promote Awareness: Foster a culture of understanding software obligations through regular communications.
Lifecycle Management: Deliver and manage asset lifecycle services ensuring high service levels, availability, and resilience.
Compliance Management: Oversee SAM and HAM processes to ensure compliance.
Maximize Value: Assist with contracts to maximize value and minimize costs for software licensing and services.
Data Management: Develop and maintain repositories for contract and software asset data.
ITSM Updates: Update ITSM tools related to asset management lifecycle services promptly.
Reporting: Collate and deliver information to monitor and maintain digital asset lifecycle services.
Risk Management: Understand and manage the cost, risk, and performance drivers impacting asset management.
System Accountabilities:
Configure IT asset management tools for SAM and HAM.
Onboard new software with procedures based on contractual commitments.
Process Accountabilities:
Ensure adherence to policies, processes, and frameworks.
Identify and report risks and issues continually.
About the candidate
Tertiary degree qualification in information technology, computer science or similar or equivalent industry experience.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Information Technology
Minimum 3 years’ experience in delivery, implementation and operation of asset and lifecycle services including (SAM and HAM).
Experience using one or more SAM tools e.g. Service Now, Flexera, SNOW etc.
Technical expertise in technology asset and lifecycle services, enterprise software licencing experience e.g. Microsoft, Oracle, Citrix etc.
Technical expertise in technology asset and lifecycle services.
Demonstrated knowledge of service management processes including but not limited to Change, Configuration, Knowledge, Request Incident, Problem, Asset, Service Lifecycle, Capacity, Risk, Service Level Management, and Release
