We are seeking a Quality and Safety Specialist to join our Toll Aviation Team in Essendon VIC. Previous experience providing quality and safety support within an Aviation environment is essential along with familiarity of ISO9001 Quality Management, CASA Part 119/Part 145 Safety Management System knowledge.
Our Aviation team is dedicated to excellence and as their Quality and Safety Specialist, you will collaborate closely with your manager and the team to ensure operational and engineering quality, safety, and environmental standards are upheld across our Fixed Wing business. You will conduct risk assessment workshops and internal Audits, roll out individual and group refresher training, undertake change management activities and oversee incident investigations. Prior knowledge of AIR MAESTRO would be an advantage.
Role Responsibilities:
Support the development and maintenance of all required quality, safety, and environmental processes and procedures for Fixed Wing EMS Contracts and support services.
Manage and respond to Fixed Wing EMS Contracts related quality, safety, and environmental hazards and occurrences.
Enable the timely and effective local treatment of quality, safety, and environmental risks arising from FW EMS Contracts operations and engineering support services activities.
Provide support for timely and effective corrective action responses to deficiencies, non-conformance, non-compliance, and/or instances of non-performance identified within Fixed Wing EMS Contracts operations and engineering activities.
Prepare presentation packages for local Fixed Wing EMS Contracts Safety Action Group Meetings and monthly Safety, Quality, and Environment Oversight Committee Meetings.
Perform investigations, root cause and defect analysis, audit activities, facilitate appropriate risk treatment and/or corrective-action response plan development, and verify implementation and effectiveness.
Qualifications and Essential Skills:
Minimum 3+ years of experience as a quality and safety administrator and/or practitioner within a Fixed Wing Flight Operational environment.
Engineering & maintenance auditing / quality experience desirable
Familiarity with CASR Part 119 and/or Part 133 / 135 Safety Management System requirements (or other equivalent international or defence aviation safety regulations) and Work Health and Safety legislation.
Experience leading investigations, root cause and defect analysis activities.
Experience leading audit activities.
Familiarity with the Transport Safety Investigation (TSI) Act and experience with Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) reporting requirements.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
