About the Orange Aquatic Centre
A purpose-built facility completed in 2012, the Aquatic Centre boasts many features including heated indoor and outdoor pools and diving facilities, as well as beach volleyball and basketball courts and a kiosk and Café area.
Open all year round, with aqua aerobics, water polo and a large swim school on site, the Orange Aquatic Centre is a fantastic facility which stands out as an excellent environment to learn and enjoy one of life’s most important skills.
Jobs/Responsibilities
Council is currently looking for a reliable and self-motivated person to work within our Aquatic Centre team as a part time or casual lifeguard. This position requires you to:
- Undertake general lifeguard duties (including surveillance of the pool deck, responding to emergencies and providing first aid when required)
- Undertaking general cleaning duties (including cleaning of bathrooms, café area and change rooms);
- Assisting in the day to day operations of the Centre reception and Café (including meeting & greeting patrons and operating café equipment).
Skills/Experience
To be successful for this position, you will need:
- Lifeguard Certificate
- First Aid Certificate (including CPR).
- Dedication to putting safety of others first and able to reliably work with minimal supervision.
- To be to work effectively under pressure and is easily able to adapt to situations.
- To be a team player and have exceptional communication skills with both staff and customers.
- Ability to obtain satisfactory criminal record check and NSW working with children check
- To be able to work shifts according to a 7-day roster (any time between 5am to 9pm)
