About the Role
As the Operations Manager Recreation & Building Services you will lead and manage Council's recreation portfolio including Maitland Regional Sports Complex, Maitland Park, sporting ovals, recreation assets, and open spaces.
You will oversee and coordinate the delivery of Council's Recreation and Building Services operations which includes up to sixty indirect reports. In addition, you will ensure day-to-day work activities and maintenance are delivered and projects are executed as per Council's Strategic Plan and Delivery Program.
You will be responsible for preparing tenders, developing and maintaining projects and works records, and making recommendations for maintenance and major works for Council's Recreation Assets, Buildings and Facilities.
Benefits
This is a permanent full-time role working 35 hours per week with a base salary ranging from $139,698 - $155,064 per year + 12% p.a superannuation + private leaseback vehicle.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will need tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Environmental, Assets, Project Management or related discipline and experience in recreation, building services, or operations management.
The successful candidate will have experience coordinating, leading and coaching cross-functional teams, strong change management and interpersonal skills, and a natural ability for mentoring and supporting staff.
Extensive experience in project and contract management is a must, with experience in preparing and managing budgets and adhering to strict timeframes and operational targets.
