Salary
$115,385 to $ 129,266 per annum (based on 70 hours per fortnight), plus superannuation and a 9 day fortnight.
Appointed salary in this range will be based on skills, qualifications and experience. A leaseback vehicle will also be offered.

About the role
In this role, you will utilise your extensive knowledge in applying a range of legislation including but not limited to, the Local Government Act 1993, Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997 and Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
The successful applicant will work closely with the Manager, Regulatory Services proactively keeping them informed on Local and Land and Environment Court proceedings and updating elected representatives and senior leadership on contentious matters relating to environmental compliance and protection, public health and safety, building control and land-use planning investigations.
About you
To be successful in this role you will need to supervise, lead and mentor staff. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral with the ability to negotiate, mediate and problem solve complex matters is essential. You will be Bachelor Degree qualified in environment and health, environmental science, law or the like, and have demonstrated equivalent experience. You will be a keen contributor to the strong culture that exists within the Environmental Compliance Section, made up of highly skilled and motivated officers.
