- Temporary Cadetship / up to 2 year contract / Full Time
- Salary: $979 - $1,265 gross per week plus 12% Super
- 35 hours per week with the option of flexitime / Monday to Friday / 8:00am to 4:00pm

About the Role
Council has an exciting opportunity available for a motivated and enthusiastic student interested in pursuing a career in Development Engineering. The position provides a rare opportunity to gain valuable industry experience whilst providing the flexibility to study. Reporting directly to the Lead - Development Engineering, the main focus of this role includes:
- Assist in the delivery of development engineering advice (including subdivision).
- Ensure work area is compliant with relevant legislation and Council policies.
- Undertake assessment and inspections (under supervision), concerning development matters (including subdivision)
- Undertake projects if and as required and directed (under supervision)
- Assess other engineering documents and inspect sites including works in the road reserve

About You
To be successful in the position, you will have:
- Undergraduate Engineer - be in the penultimate years (last 2 years) of study, working towards a Bachelor of Civil and/or Environmental Engineering
- Class C Driver's Licence
- Ability to foster teamwork within and between teams to deliver services
- Demonstrated commitment to supporting and development others to achieve work goals
- Well-developed problem solving and decision-making skills
- Technical competence in engineering investigation, design, or operation
