Portal Support Officer
Permanent full-time
Hours: 35-hour week + VDO every 19 days
Attractive and Competitive Salary: $72,898.54 - $ 84,719.70 + 12% Superannuation p.a
Are you passionate about delivering great customer service and ensuring smooth administrative processes? We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Portal Support Officer to support our Development Assessment and Regulation team.
As a Portal Support Officer, you'll report to the Coordinator Development Assessment and Regulation Support and provide timely and efficient customer service and administrative support to the Development Assessment and Regulation team to facilitate a smooth, responsive business operations. You will be the first point of contact for managing development applications via the NSW Planning Portal. You’ll check and process documentation promptly and accurately, while guiding applicants through the process with a friendly, customer-focused approach. Your support will help streamline approvals and improve the experience for our community.

What you need to succeed (Essential Criteria):
- Certificate IV in Business Administration or other relevant related discipline and/or extensive experience working in an administrative support role within a fast-paced busy environment.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate experience in the use of word, excel, outlook and powerpoint.
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of the requirements for corporate record keeping with experience in using an electronic document record keeping system.
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, with a focused and responsive approach to managing customer enquiries, a sound understanding of customer service principles and proven high standard of customer service.
- Demonstrated high level organisational and administrative skills, including strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise work in a high-volume environment Previous experience in a role requiring tact and confidentiality.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to the success of a team, as well as the ability to work independently, and show initiative and judgment in proposing solutions to challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to apply attention to detail and accuracy to work and working with limited supervision.
- Demonstrated experience in being able to analyse and interpret data to develop reports and/or provide data that assists in creating official documentation.
