Procurement Officer Stores
Temporary full-time position until November 2025
Salary: $36.89 - $46.54 per hour + 12 % Superannuation

What you'll do?
As the Procurement Officer (Stores), you will play a vital role in delivering effective procurement and inventory support within the Water Services branch. You’ll be responsible for coordinating the purchase of materials, goods, and services using Council’s procurement and financial systems, ensuring all acquisitions are suitable and aligned with operational requirements.
Your duties will include managing stock levels, maintain supplier and contractor registers, and contribute to the preparation of contract documentation. You’ll also monitor costs, support efficient resource utilisation, and assist with reporting and audit activities. A key part of your role will be fostering a positive safety culture and using sound judgment and initiative to address day-to-day challenges and manage projects in line with relevant legislation and standards.

What you'll need to succeed (Essential Criteria)
- Certificate in Business Administration or related discipline and/or a minimum of three years’ experience facilitating procurement and purchasing functions within Local or State Government, Water or Construction industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Local and/or State Government contracts for the procurement of materials.
- Demonstrated ability in the use of computer applications, and operating devices effectively, embracing digital solutions for works activities to enable productivity and systems to facilitate day- to-day operations.
- Ability to network effectively with key stakeholders in offering advice and support to delivering operational and maintenance services.
- Hold and maintain C Class drivers' licence, Forklift Licence and WHS Induction card.
