This role will be responsible to
collate and respond to SSD applications on behalf of Council. This is a fixed
contract role and we will be very flexible on hours and availability.

Selection criteria:
- Minimum 3
years Local Government planning experience (or similar)
- Tertiary
planning qualifications or tertiary qualifications in an affiliated
field to planning or in the process of obtaining the qualification
- Demonstrated
ability to provide specialist advice on planning matters
- Demonstrated
time management skills to coordinate a number of consecutive projects
and meet deadlines individually and managing others
- Ability to
research, review, draft, develop and ability to implement strategic
studies, Local Environmental Plans, Development Control Plans, policies
and codes
- High level
professional communication skills (written & verbal)
- Ability to
build and maintain working relationships within Council, developers and
community
- Knowledge
of workplace health and safety responsibilities and a commitment to
attending relevant WHS training.
The salary range being offered
for this temporary full-time position is $3,602 - $4,054 gross per fortnight
plus superannuation which equates to an annual salary of $93,667 - $105,419
gross plus superannuation (dependent on skills, qualifications and experience).
