Are you ready to lead efforts in protecting our natural environment from invasive weed species? We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Senior Biosecurity Weeds Officer to oversee weed management activities and ensure compliance with the Biosecurity Act.
In this key leadership role, you will coordinate the Biosecurity Weeds Team, manage the WAP funding program, and conduct inspections across private, Council-owned, and public lands. You’ll work closely with landowners and stakeholders to identify, control, and prevent weed incursions while responding to community concerns and supporting Council’s environmental objectives.
YOUR WORKING ENVIRONMENT (for eligible employees)
- An annual salary between $88,192 – $99,255 dependent upon skills and experience (plus 12% superannuation)
- Work a 9-day fortnight, based on a 35-hour working week
