Find personal and professional growth
In this role, you'll gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced professionals in our Growth Planning team, contributing to real planning outcomes for our growing region. You will build practical skills through exposure to varied planning projects that shape the growth of cities and towns, urban release areas, rural residential areas, rural areas and villages, both now and into the future.
You'll find growth through:
- Assisting in the preparation of land use strategies, local environmental plans, development control plans, and development policies
- Assisting in the development and negotiation of infrastructure contribution plans and planning agreements
- Building strong, constructive relationships with applicants, colleagues and our community through community engagement programs and activities
- Undertaking research and assist with team planning projects
What you'll bring
To thrive in this role, you will need:
- Willingness to commit to and undertake/be undertaking a structured education program in town planning
or a closely associated discipline.
- Genuine interest in town planning as a career.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
We would also love you to have:
- Customer service experience.

This position offers an attractive weekly salary ranging depending on year of study from $1,074.40 to $1,124.90.
